Texas Land Surveying Education - Colleges & Universities

The state's licensing board, the Texas Board of Professional Land Surveying, requires RPLS candidates to earn a 4-year college degree (of any kind), with at least 32 hours of survey-related courses. And in place to meet those education requirements are some of the finest land surveying & GIS programs in the nation.

Students can earn associate degrees and also enroll in 4-year programs on Texas campuses. And as the demand for licensed professional land surveyors increases, more surveying programs will come online and expand across the state.

Below is a list of colleges/universities offering land surveying, GIS or surveying-related courses and degree plans. If you know of others not listed, please email that information to DougL@tsps.org.
